This is one of my favourite scenes near our home. I call it a pond, but really it is a dam. A green, stagnant dam that is rumoured to be home to a neighbourhood platypus... he's quite shy; I've never met him.
This little window, framed by two glorious eucalyptus, leads my eye straight through the branches to the speckled, dotted forest beyond. Somehow the colours of this moment captivate me every time.
